NOA Unveils jobDB Core at IBC2021
The expandable video archive management facilitates the digitization process for small- to medium-sized firms
Press Release
Vienna, Austria — 15 November 2021
Archiving specialists NOA GmbH will be on hand at IBC2021 to highlight its most recent innovations. Among new products on show during the event will be NOA jobDB Core, a video archive management suite, which comprises all NOA processors necessary for an in-house industrial digitization facility for SD-video carriers, including the well-defined standard workflow template for efficiency and stable throughput to optimize the transfer part within a preservation project.
The scalable package comprises the FrameLector ingest software, jobDB workflow management system, MediaButler transcoding processor, BarcodeStation custom script creation tool, UniversalDialoger scanner and the QualityChecker post-ingest digital content analyzer.
jobDB Core combines these six products into one solution. The entry-level bundle designed for small to medium-sized firms, provides users with all features available through each individual product and is expandable to grow with the evolution of the company.
jobDB is a workflow orchestration system that connects video capture, quality control, and other client workstations as well as server-side tools and transforms them into an efficient industrial digitization facility. The package enables comprehensive quality control and assurance on all levels and the highest flexibility on file formats and workflows.
In addition, jobDB allows the setup of processes for capturing, reshaping, and analysis of media as required for archiving, transcoding, or other complex business processes. It integrates automatic, semiautomatic, and manual or instructive process steps in a well-defined and complex process flow. With ControlCenter, the client application of jobDB, users can manage all carriers, workflows, logs, and processors.
Users can easily scale the system up to 32++ ingest channels thanks to its scalable true client-server design. NOA’s managing partner Jean-Christophe Kummer explains that this approach lets organizations gradually ease into digitization, while simplifying the process by investing in one simple package.
“We wanted to meet the requirements of smaller enterprises in need of affordable and expandable archive management solutions,” said Kummer. “With jobDB Core, we also aimed to offer an accessible digitization method that encourages institutions to safeguard their valuable heritage repertoire.”
In addition to making technology and processes of large-scale industrial digitization facilities available for entry and mid-size archives, NOA jobDB Core video package, provides a clear upgrade path to enlarge the facility any time with all core components already in place.
NOA will showcase these new enhancements and other solutions at IBC 2021 on booth 8.C51.
