NOA Unveils jobDB 4.1 at IBC 2018
Features increased efficiency, reduced labor costs, easier navigation, and more
Vienna, Austria— 20 August, 2018—
AV digitizing and archiving specialist NOA GmbH will unveil jobDB 4.1, a new version of its jobDB workflow system, at IBC 2018 (booth 8.D91).
jobDB combines any kind and number of audio/video ingest stations and server-side tools into an effective industrial digitization facility. It offers thorough quality control and assurance on all levels, a multi-seated and labor separated environment for ingest and quality control, the highest flexibility as regards file formats and workflows, and more.
Along with a classy new look and feel with even easier navigation and management than before, jobDB 4.1 now incorporates various types of physical carrier handling with new processors, such as BarcodeStation and Universal Dialoguer. This results in the system’s capability of managing up to 1000 carriers in a single workflow each day, massively increasing efficiency and lowering labor costs.
The innovative new version also incorporates the control of video outgest workflows; a new NOA VideoPlayer for access to frame accurate positions and dedicated linked files; the ability to prioritize workflow settings to easily manage specific files; and a user management rework, which syncs via jobDB ProcessorHost toward an active Microsoft directory.
For users who are interested in scaling reports, jobDB 4.1 offers special browser report enhancements. Moreover, the upgrade provides advanced action logging so events are statistically collected; key controlled searches for workload organization between different user groups; sending of email notifications to easily update users on a carrier status; as well as workflow pausing.
“Our goal at NOA is to simplify and streamline the daily operations of audio and video preservation specialists worldwide,” said Christophe Kummer, managing partner of NOA .“This most recent redesign of jobDB addresses the needs of industrial digitization in a more accurate and advanced way, ensuring optimal performance.”
All current NOA jobDB users worldwide can benefit from this upgrade.
