Wins “Best Broadband Network Transmission Solution” Award
OSLO, Norway – 21 June, 2017
Bridge Technologies today announced that, at the SCTE 2017 Technological Innovations Awards Gala Dinner at Drapers Hall, London, its NOMAD portable network probe was chosen by SCTE as the “Best Broadband Network Transmission Solution”.
NOMAD is an innovative and affordable tool for anyone tasked with managing, supporting and optimising IP networks. A highly portable, self-contained and versatile network probe, NOMAD covers all the monitoring requirements of hybrid IP multicast, OTT and RF networks, and provides every conceivable interface for media signal monitoring and analysis. It is specifically designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of those who do not have an in-depth understanding of moving content over IP.
“We are delighted that SCTE has chosen to recognise the unique capabilities of NOMAD in this way,” said Simen K. Frostad, Chairman, Bridge Technologies. “NOMAD is the culmination of our 12 years of experience in designing the ultimate probe functionality for network monitoring and analysis; it includes everything we know about IP and RF.”
“We refer to it as the Swiss Army knife of digital media, containing everything a user could need in almost every conceivable circumstance,” continued Frostad. “And, like the Swiss Army knife, it can be a constant companion – on a user’s desk or in a user’s bag. We see endless possibilities for it, and expect NOMAD to take us into channels and markets in which we have not previously participated.”
Built in to NOMAD is Bridge Technologies’ patented MediaWindow™ user interface, giving easy visibility into, and understanding of, packet streams, providing unequalled simplicity of confidence monitoring. NOMAD can be simply accessed via any web browser.
Founded in 1945, the SCTE is an educational society and non-profit organization whose aim is to raise the standard of broadband engineering in the telecommunications industry. The Society is dedicated to fostering training and career advancement for technical professionals in the field.
“This has been a fantastic year for our awards, with an impressive selection of entries showing the scope of innovation in the industry,” said Mike Thornton, FSCTE, President, SCTE. “We would like to express our congratulations to all of the entrants, runners-up and winners for their broadband technology advancements, which are sure to have a great impact on our industry.”
